Son Cubano Subterraneo brings the warmth, sophistication and rhythmic fire of classic Cuban music to the nation’s capital. At the center is son cubano—the guitar-and-percussion tradition that helped shape modern salsa—performed with authentic instrumentation, rich vocals and the spontaneity of a live dance band.
The repertoire draws from music associated with Buena Vista Social Club, Beny Moré, Arsenio Rodríguez, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Oscar D’León and other legendary artists, alongside boleros, cumbias, merengues, Latin jazz and unexpected favorites.
